Description

Founded in 2002, Exberliner is Germany's largest English-language magazine. Based in and focused on Berlin, it covers culture, nightlife and politics with a monthly print edition, a website and editorial newsletters. We are currently looking for a:
Part-time photography intern (3 months, unpaid)
As a part of Exberliner's design team, you'll assist in arranging and fulfilling photography appointments for the magazine's print edition and occasionally its website.
Interns gain:
- real-world editorial photography experience in a variety of subjects: portraiture, documentary, architecture, food and more
- a complete overview of the editorial and creative processes involved in magazine creation
- the opportunity to attend exclusive events, exhibitions and restaurants as well as shooting well-known public figures
- the opportunity to get their work published and duly credited in a respected publication
- the possibility of paid freelance work in the future
The ideal candidate
- has an open, flexible schedule and is willing to shoot evenings or weekends when required
- has previous experience in editorial photography and access to the necessary equipment
- is organised, comfortable communicating with subjects and arranging appointments and can work quickly to meet deadlines
- is enthusiastic, dedicated and willing to accept constructive criticism
- is familiar with Exberliner's print and online editions, its editorial concept and visual language
